a good day

Today was a good day. I was woken up by my biggest boy giving me a hug to say goodbye before he headed off to playschool. Then, a snooze with my babies and breakfast in bed, courtesy of Guy.

We picked Lucas up from playschool – he’d had a great time and made a Christmas decoration out of a paper plate – and stopped at a local coffee shop for drinks and snacks. I fed the babies (first time in public!) and we read stories (the coffee shop has a well-stocked bookshelf).

We headed home for lunch, snuggles and TV, then some visitors popped in with their children. There was just time for a Daddy-Lucas wander to the train station before dinner, bath and bed.

I’m writing this as Guy attempts to persuade Lucas to go to sleep, then we’ll enjoy pizza and catch up on our TV programmes. Simple, but lovely.
