where did our newborns go?

Aurora and Jake were four weeks old yesterday. They’ve almost completely lost the newborn, furled up look and I can’t quite believe they’ve been here for nearly a month.

They are spending more time awake and alert now, and I love watching them look around. They’re particularly interested in each other at the moment – this morning, Jake spent a while staring at his sister, who was stretching as she slowly woke up.

They have started smiling this week; at each other, us, and their big brother. As I write this, Jake is on my chest after feeding and he’s smiling up at me – such a beautiful sight!

I feel incredibly happy, and lucky that we have these three amazing children. I am so excited to watch them all grow up – but not too fast, please!
